How do you think positively?

For some people who were born with a positive attitude this would be a tough question to answer.   While at times they have doubts like any other person they usually can find something positive to concentrate on.

When something happens that is not favourable to you there are a few questions you can ask yourself such as

Did I contribute to this adverse situation and if so make a mental note not to repeat your contribution.

Can I learn anything from this adverse situation so that I can avoid it in the future or use the experience to my advantage next time?

Did it cost me money and if so why and could I have done it another way.

Is it a popular mistake made by many people? If so what is the cause?

Who gained from my loss and could I gain from others in a similar situation?           When something happens try not to be judgemental until you have examined al of the influencing factors.

Look around you and you will find yourself surrounded by the wonders of the world we live in.

Soul food comes from the beautiful things that surround us and only requires us to look.           Many can’t see because they don’t bother to look.

Opportunities pass us by every day but most can’t see them because they are not looking.          Have you not asked yourself why did I not think of that?  Or I could have done that.

There are many excellent Positive Thinking seminars and books but reading or attending is one thing and employing positive thinking practises is another. Some of the points made at these seminars run like this

Is the glass half empty or half full – half full to the positive half empty to the negative?

You are only competing with one person in ten because eight out of the ten are not really trying for one reason or another.

Outline a project to a group of ten people and at least eight will tell you why it won’t work the other will either agree with you or shut up and try it themselves.

Most of the laws and government regulations in our country are designed to tell us what we can’t do not what we can do. No wonder there are so many negative people with our society reinforcing it at every turn.

Positive people are often referred to as dreamers and the negative people give themselves the great title of rational. Nothing new would have been done/ created or experienced without someone rejecting the status quo and dreaming of another way.

Turning dreams into reality usually takes a lot of hard work and above all perseverance.

Don’t try to change the opinions of negative people because they won’t thank you for trying just be grateful they make up the eight out of ten

I am a total believer in “we are what we think “just as much as “we are what we eat.”
